Minara Chamber of Commerce
The Minara Chamber of Commerce is an
organization formed in May 2000 to
represent and assist South African
Muslim businesses and
entrepreneurs. The Chamber’s
activities and objectives are based
on the need to provide a formal
voice and guiding vision for Muslim
Business. The constitution and
workings are based on adherence
to an Islamic Code of Conduct and
Ethics as contained in the Noble
Quran.
It was formed after much
deliberation on the need for a
Chamber and in consultation with a
broad spectrum of the business
community. The name Minara was
chosen for the Chamber as it aptly
reflects the vision and the
objectives of the organisation.
Membership is open to business
owners, professionals,
entrepreneurs, organisations and
students and there is no
discrimination on the basis of race,
colour, sex, creed, language or
cultural caste. Membership extends
across South Africa and in time will
grow into the rest of Africa, Inshaa
Allah.
The Chamber has received official
recognition from the South African
government and trade organisations
and has established formal
relationships with other chambers of
commerce.
The Minara Chamber of Commerce
is built on a solid base of
education, ethical conduct, social
responsibility and an Islamic Code
of Conduct. We endeavour to provide
services and skills to benefit our
members and we attempt to use our
collective resources to uplift the
economic standing of the community
and become a beacon of guiding light
to fellow citizens.
The Minara Chamber of Commerce
strives for a high degree of
professionalism and an ethos of
credibility, dedication, passion and
vision. The Minara Chamber of
Commerce is a proud member of SANHA
and has a seat on its Executive
Committee, thereby endorsing and
aiding all its endeavours.
