Slaughter the Beasts of Rebellion, Hatred, Jealousy, Pride and Greed
October 2012 : Thul Hijjah 1433

The Day of Eid al-Adha (Festival of Sacrifice) is an important occasion celebrated by all Muslims globally on the 10th of Dhul Hijjah to commemorate and honour the willingness of the Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) peace be upon him to sacrifice his son Ismail (Ishmael) peace be upon him, as an act of total submission and unquestionable obedience to Allah Almighty, who intervened and provided a sheep to sacrifice instead.

The sacrifice of an animal and the spill of blood is a symbolic demonstration of our unreserved submission and love for Allah. It is a graphic reminder that the closer one gets to Allah the greater the trials and sacrifices. Prophet Ibrahim’s peace be upon him legacy reassures the Believers that truth must prevail if we have conviction and commitment.

In the same spirit we must strive to consciously place the “knife” on our hearts to slaughter the beasts of rebellion, hatred, jealousy, pride, arrogance and greed within ourselves and inculcate the spirit of total submission to Divine Will in every facet of our lives.

We thank you for your support and wish all our staff, members, certified plants, well wishers, detractors and their families a blessed, happy and peaceful Eid al-Adha. May Allah accept all our deeds, forgive our transgressions & shortcomings and ease the suffering of all people around the globe.

Eid al-Adha Mubarak !!!
